Moerby Kultuur were fortunate enough to be commissioned by Henda and Danie for their wedding in Riebeek Kasteel at Cafe Felix. The theme was loosely
based on an impressionist painter's garden and work area with a soft pale Renoir
and Manet colour palette.
Most of the items were hand made and sourced from the farm and surrounding
areas of Lemoenfontein in the Paardeberg where we live, giving the whole wedding
an authentic and beautiful rustic feel. Extensive use was made of willow
branches, pomegranates, quinces and vines with hand painted and printed bunting,
place mats and paper umbrellas. The flowers were sourced from a local flower
farm.
We love the handmade and original feel that all the components created and
we decided to bottle all the flowers on the tables in a selection of different
sized glass bottles and jars giving it a very light and transparent feel and
letting the flowers speak for themselves with added beautiful printed french
ribbon to round off the theme.

We are so excited to share with you some of our pictures of our first official Moerby Kultuur wedding that we hosted for Liam and Nicole in Riebeek Kasteel. The theme was that of a French market and we managed to merge a lttle bit of Parisian Chic with a good dose of the country side. They looked bautiful and the celbrations carried on long into the morning...
